TORCH (2005)
The works in the series of sculptural works called Torch are created from hand-blown glass, stair banisters, and turned rare woods. They represent the spiritual light that leads us along our life path—even guiding our passage from life to death. Dedicated to the memory of my mother, the pieces are meant to illuminate the most wonderful gifts that are often found in recognizing and appreciating the moments of our daily lives: washing dishes, going for a walk, making a list, cooking and eating, reading a book, humming a familiar song.
